  • Shoneys Midfield on a Friday night was like a Constitution. Had to make at least one pass through. :-)

Does any one remember the guy everyone called Fish from the '69 - 71 I think it was? I was wondering what ever happened to him.

Even though we didn't make that much money in those days gas was a whopping 25 cents per gallon. I remember only putting about $2 worth in and driving for a while even with the gas guzzlers we had....
You only parked to eat or if you wanted to park next to someone special...
The slower you drove the more you car loaped the better it was. I remember going inside to eat once and boy it felt strange...
We would cruise from one shoneys to another, the one on third ave west near Legion Field, all the way to the one downtown Bham...
Of course we would stop at the Spinning Wheel on third ave west and stop at Pauls Drive In on the Bess. Super Highway. Super Sandwich Shop was always a good stop, couldn't cruise through to well.
There's no telling how many miles we actually drove back in the good ole days...
Lou-Don's in Dolemite too.... WOW...
The Bessemer Super Highway Cruising Circuit, what history.... What a Blast!

Makes you wonder how much gas we used going round and round. Grabbing a parking spot ON THE FRONT ROW! Good Times.
