I played the piano for the stage band back in the 70's. Believe it or not, playing in that band prepared me for what God had planned for me! I started playing the piano in church right after I graduated from high school. I am fortunate to still play and all of the differents rhythmns I learned in stage band still help me today with the various types of music I am given. I think about that time alot!

I was in the stage band in 76. We plated a few times at school but the most memorable was the Pleasant Grove beauty pagent.

WOW what fun we had in stage band. It was such a change from the regular band with Harwel. Does anyone remember what the big deal was in 77 when we had the concert in the gym and the stage band people went into the band room and came back out? It was a scary moment because I remember Harwell would have killed me the way he looked at me when we came out. Thank god the crowd went crazy with the change we made while in the band room.

Yeah we did play at alot of different events. Miss Reflections was one and Harwell would let us "drift" into our own world from time to time and play what we wanted to play. Peter Gunn, Woodchopper's Ball, String of Pearls......lots of good tunes we played.

Remember the blue & red striped shirts with suspenders we had to occasionally wear ? In the 78-79' stage band we were really good, we had Chris Ruffin on drums, Truman on guitar, Janelle Horn on bass, Nan Gentry on keys,, we played for several events other than at school
