Murph's MHS Page

Welcome to my page on this wonderful site started by Lee. Now I know there's lots and lots of better things to do on the web than to come here and look at my big ugly mug (yeah that's me at the left of the page) but if we happen to be in high school together or if we were part of the best band in the land together, you might want to hang around long enough just to listen to some of the recordings of the BLUE MACHINE MARCHING PATRIOT BAND (man that felt good typing that in bold) from the late 70's that I uploaded here. The music is great but the recording quality is for crap (sorry!). Anyway just sit back and listen and let those memories of a by-gone era come flowing in. So this is for all of our MHS friends and I'm glad I found these wonderful songs that Karen's parents and mine took the time to record at various events. Oh yeah, they just may bring a tear or two but don't hold back that's just the PRIDE coming out!
I can never say this enough

Howdy Tim,

I appreciate your warm wishes of a full recovery. I'm determined to do my best to get there.

Currently, I'm down but not out.... sitting around in the Laz-a-Boy with my leg hiked in the air. A grand life, if the bill collector would stop beating on my door :) But hey, all iw well and I'm on a march to recovery.

Tell the wife I said hello and hope to see you good folks soon,

You Got To Love The Internet

Posted on June 2, 2008 at 3:10am 0 Comments

Say what you want to about the Internet but as for me I think it’s just great! I know there are a lot of bad things that can happen on the Internet and some of the things are just so horrid that I refuse to say anything about them in this blog, you parents know what I’m talking about. When the Internet is used properly it can put so much joy into peoples lives. Case in point, this high school site in just a year has touched off reunions and has reconnected long lost friends, and equally as good… Continue

My Letter to Mr. Harwell (DO NOT READ!) Ha Ha!

Posted on February 26, 2008 at 1:30pm 10 Comments

I know someone said we should keep these private but most of you lived this time of my life right along with me so I'm going to post it anyway. If I make anyone mad by posting this I'm sorry! You didn't have to read it.

Mr. Harwell,

I was in the Midfield Blue Machine Marching Patriots Band from 1976 to 1980. I played the Baritone, Slide Trombone and the marching or bugle style Trombone. My first two years in the band were filled with hard work and dedication, exactly… Continue
