I graduated in 1978. I have been married for 25 years to my husband Blake (he works in Real Estate Development and Construction) and we have five (5) wonderful children; Cristen (23), Quint (21), Shana (19), Nikki (16), and Matthew (11); not to mention 5 dogs, I don't even know how many cats, snakes, lizards, hamsters, etc.
Hey girl just wandering around this site and came accross you. Glads things are going well for you. I ran into Sandy in Publix about a year ago. I see you have 5 kids. Thank goodness you dumped me. LOL. Take care, Bumbo

Hey Cindy, the photos of your family look great. I am glad to see you doing so well. Let me know when you and Blake go to Destin, maybe Patty and I will be down there and we can get together and have dinner. We go a lot except during the Fall. We are at Auburn. We take the RV on Friday and usually stay until Sunday. We also travel to away games. Take care, Gene

Hi Cindy it's GREAT to hear from you!!! I wondered how long it was going to take for you to join us!
Lisa also keeps us up with you and Sandy. From everything I hear it sounds like things are really going good for you!
It's hard to believe that we have been out of school for 30+ years now! Maybe someone from our '78 group will plan a get together soon. ( Several of us got together last August for a night out at the Bright Star and we had a blast remembering the old days).
Take care and keep it touch!!!
You may not remember me. I graduated in '80 with Darrell. My sister Pam Venz was in your class. I live in Vestavia now as well. I have heard about your daughter Shana and saw the article in the Over the Mountain Journal. I know you must be very proud and I am sure she has brought much enjoyment for you and your husband. My oldest son, Kyle is in Shana's class and my youngest son, Brody is in Nikki's class (who I understand is also very athletic). Brody has been to your house before and was very impressed by the softball field!!!!
Hey Cindy! I was reading this morning's paper and I saw the article and picture about Shana! Congratulations to her for her softball success! I know she (and you) are excited about the write up. I didn't need to read the name when I saw the picture...I knew it was your daughter...she is so pretty and looks just like you...a third twin...a few years later...ha! I felt the same when I saw Carol Capellon Pritchard's daughter at the high school. It really takes me back...and makes me smile. I hope Shana has a great senior year. Go Rebels!
Lisa had told me about Cathy. I was sorry to hear that. She and Kelly were very special to me. I am glad to hear your folks are doing well. My Mom lives on the river in Adger Al. Unfortunately I do not see my sister or brothers to often. I do see or talk to my kids and grandkids almost every day. Emma calls herself Pawpaw's little angel, and she is. She was born on June 28th. So on the 27th (the day between our birthdays) she and I have a standing dinner date every year. All 3 grandkids love the pool, so they come over a lot and we swim. Jon (Emma's dad) has already bought her some pink golf clubs and is teaching her how to golf. That is something the boys and I love to do together. We used to play basketball, but I got to old to compete with them, so we took up golf. When you get a chance, put up some pictures. Take care, Gene
