Santana, Los Lonely Boys, heck, nearly any music except country (even though I'm liking old country more - probably cuz I'm old). Yep, I pretty much like it all.
Favorite TV Shows:
Hell's Kitchen, House, almost anything on adult swim (the Cartoon network - don't think dirty!)
Lynn, I do remember you. I'm trying to remember which side of the burchfields you lived on. The palmer's old house or the collins' old house? My dad still lives in the same house. Midwood Ave has changed quite a bit! It's hard to believe we used to run up and down that street when we were little, even at night and felt perfectly safe. Now when we visit my dad we run as fast as we can from our car to the house & try to dodge the bullets! lol Is that your dog in the photo? He/she is a cutie! Did you check out my dog photos? They are my life!!!! Great to hear from you. Brenda
sorry, I forgot about the job market.
Like everywhere else, it's depressed. The service/food industry is hanging on because of tourism, but it's been down since Hurricanes Ivan and Dennis. While we have pretty secure government jobs, my wife's hours have been cut back and that's been happening Department of Defense-wide because of Iraq and Afghanistan.
Lynn;
great to hear from you.
I'll help you any way I can.
Pensacola is beautiful.
There are nice neighborhoods all over the county but where they are probably more densely together is on the northeast side.
My wife and I had always lived on the east/northeast side, Gulf Breeze, which is on a penisula between the mainland and Pensacola Beach (Santa Rosa Island) or on the beach itself.
We just returned from a two-year assignment in Japan and because we both work on the bases, we decided to rent a place on the west side because it's closer (gas). The westside is building up but from our house it's 2-3 miles to the closest stores.
We sold everything before we went overseas and renting right now because we had to have a place immediately for our household goods to go. We'll start looking to buy in the next few months and I had been monitoring the real estate market here while overseas.
I think a lot of places are still overpriced but prices are expected to drop more in the next several months.
Take care.
Hey there girl next door. I'm so glad you signed up on the site. Thank you! You'll have to show it to your Mom some time. And surely you have an old Midwood Ave. pic of you and your family. You'll have to upload something.
