Hi Patti,

Well, D-Day approaches!!!! I have been going through work-hardening theraphy for the past 5 weeks...tough stuff. I am fully self mobile, a litle slower and caution but I get around fine, I can drive too. My stamina is coming back. I go back to Dr. on July 14th; where I hope to get relaeased to return to work and then the fun begins... going through a dumptruck load of red tape trying to return to work. Keep me in your prayers that I get back to work soon. If so, it'll be like rounding third heading for home plate and Tim Hayes is bobbling the ball in right field!

I hope your Birthday was special, and that's no Les in the photo it's Randy Mize!

Take care and stay in touch!

Who, me? If you'll notice on my brief bio, I list a 16-year-old. That should pretty much explain my "under-the-radar" approach to life.

I've been to Birmingham a few times in the last several years, but it always seems to be for a funeral. Valentine's Day two years ago my oldest and best friend Nick died of cancer, and my feelings are still hurt over that. I gave a part of the eulogy, and that is one of the most difficult things I've ever done. When you are friends with someone for 50 years, losing them is tough.

I work in Business Development for Qualico Steel, a large structural steel fabricator, and I am now training my replacement. I'll be, for lack of a better term, the owner's assistant. For some reason he thinks the world of me - usually he's a better judge of character than that.

I hope everything's good with you and yours. It appears you have changed jobs, too. Tell everyone who might remember me I said howdy, and try not to stay disconnected so long this time - HA!

'bye ya'll,

Howdy Patti,

Wowser, you must have magical powers. I went to my surgeon yesterday. Feb 9, I get the ankle fused... best thing is no hospital stay... in and then out. Bad thing another 4-6 months off work, on my fanny once again for the long haul. Like I haven't been there before. Sheesh! But this should do it and I'll be back in the game without the pain.

Karen and I are doing great. After my ankle is fused and I get back to work we are gonna get fused as well - an old fashion elopement. It's been a wonderful courtship and time to make things permanent, that's our plan.

So, what is new and improved with you? How's the hubby. Tell him I said 'Hello'.

Let me hear from ya,
