Thought For The Day

It takes courage to live--courage and strength and hope and humor. And courage and strength and hope and humor have to be bought and paid for with pain and work and prayers and tears. -Jerome P. Fleisham

Daisy Brawdy needs the MHS Patriots to her rescue!!! Please read!

Listen everyone. I sent out an email several weeks ago asking for ideas to help raise money for a girl in my office who is adopting a precious little girl named Daisy. She is getting close to being able to go pick her up. She lives in the Ukriane in an orphanage.

I am asking each and every one of you to take just one minute and think about the HUGE heart that Julie and her family have. She has 4 boys. She and her husband Daniel are super people and they want to give more! With all… Continue

Invites

Just wanted to let everyone know...I am inviting all my Whiten cousins. Also, I know some of you have already asked me about Sherry Goodwin. I called her tonight and threatened her if she didn't join. She is very busy with her lovely family...but I am sure when she gets a minute she will join. I also invited from the Reunion book that I received at the last reunion...so hopefully some of our other long lost friends will soon become apart of this wonderful site and start to have some fun.

Treats for Our Troops!

Hey Everybody!

Jay Miller posted information about his son Jason and a bunch of us started efforts to get letters and care packages to them. Tonight I found a website with more ideas than I ever would have imagined! It also includes information on mailing and how the Post Office supplies you with materials for packing items. Check it out!

First, get into the male mindframe.... what is the wildest, silliest, zaniest thing you have ever done for the validation/affection of a woman? (MAN-UP and speak the truth,,,no holds barred).

Handled a rattlesnake, swam with sharks, a police shootout, got drunk in a gay bar, lied to a woman..... The Swami wants to know:

What is the most dangerous thing you have ever done?

Thought For The Day

The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to yourself, respect; to all men, charity.

Sorry Folks...it's a long one. But I needed it and maybe someone else will find comfort here.

Love Karen

(Isaiah 41:10 NIV) So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. And here is another one of my favorites: (Isaiah 40:28-31 NIV) Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the… Continue

1960s Country Music

As you can tell from the music on my main page, I am a HUGE fan of Sonny James. Sonny stands at the top of the heap, having released 16 consecutive singles that hit #1 on the charts. No other artist can claim that many, not the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Elvis, Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, George Strait, no one. Don't believe the hype about Supergroup Alabama beating him with 21, their "Christmas in Dixie" didn't make it to #1.

Is anyone else into 60s country music, and some of the… Continue
