Tell us about the oldest Christmas ornament you always put on your Christmas tree.

Since I put up about 8-12 trees a year...many ornaments are old. All of the ones from students through the years are special...and those from family and friends...The oldest...has to be the star and angel that I use at the top of the main tree. The star is just like the one I grew up with...that tacky 1950's look...but hey it is a Christmas memory! The angel is made from corn shucks. One of these days I will get up the nerve to go into mom's attic to get the really old stuff down. Since slipping and having my leg go through the ceiling once...I have not wanted to go back up there. I don't trust the pull-down attic stairs anymore. Does anybody know a handyman that fixes stuff like that?
i have a star on top of tree that i made when i was a teen.my mom didnt have a star on top and i wanted one so i just went in kitchen and made one out of aliminum foil and put on top of tree.. she used it until she passed away in 1995.. it has been on my tree since.. david loves putting it on the tree and hearing the story about it...
thats one of the bad things about a nasty divorce , the man does not get to have any of the old
family things , photos, trinkets, etc. just the bills .....................
It doesn't go on the tree but I have a small Angel that Ms. Love gave me in the 5th grade and it goes on my self by the tree each and every years, little china head with a red velvet skirt..... It always brings a little warm feeling each year as I place it on the shelf.... Great Memories.....
